What's in the Nutrition for Sport & Exercise course?

Exercising is simply just not enough to maintain and enhance physical fitness, and any physical exertion produces a requirement for extra energy. Therefore the Nutritionist's job is to analyse the dietary intake and energy requirements of their clients and prescribe the means of meeting their particular needs.

This module helps you to understand and apply the science of nutrition to exercise and sport and study in the comfort of your own home via home study workbooks.

On completion of the module you should be able to:

  • advise amateur athletes and sports-minded clients on their nutritional needs

  • provide accurate information on the effectiveness and application of sports supplements

  • give relevant advice to optimise pre-event, event and post-event nutrition, thus enhancing strength, endurance, overall performance and recovery

The module covers: carbohydrates, minerals, fats and proteins, fluids, creatine, caffeine, antioxidants, supplements, vitamins and working with sports minded people.

The Distance Learning Tutors and the Learning Support Team are always open and happy to answer any questions you may have and give you support and guidance all throughout your training. Future Fit Training will always strive to make sure your learning experience is an enjoyable and rewarding one.
