Advanced Nutrition for Physical Performance

This course is aimed at instructors, personal trainers and nutritional advisers wishing to acquire an understanding of the advanced theory of optimising energy, mood and alertness through nutrition and how to apply this knowledge for both athletes and recreational exercisers.

Certification and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points

  • Students will receive a Premier Advanced Nutrition for Physical Performance Certificate of Attendance
  • 6 REPs CPD points

Course Content

  • Physiological pathways behind optimal energy
  • Nutrient needs for maximal performance
  • Critique of legal performance aids
  • Muscle in on performance for mass or endurance

Entry Requirements

A basic nutritional adviser and/or personal trainer qualification is required for acceptance on this course. It would be recommended that students are actively working in the health and fitness industry with a range of clients.

Length and Format of Course

A 1 day workshop, although online learning support is provided.

Assessment

The course is not formally assessed although quizzes will be provided as part of the online support.
