STOTT Pilates courses are ideal for personal trainers looking to improve their range of skills and enhance their employability.

STOTT Pilates helps to develop optimal strength, flexibility, endurance and posture, without building bulk or stressing joints, which makes it the perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation. It is a contemporary, approach to Joseph Pilates' original exercise method.

YMCAfit offer five courses to choose from :

  • STOTT Pilates Intensive Mat-Plus
  • STOTT Pilates Intensive Reformer
  • STOTT Pilates Intensive Barrels
  • STOTT Pilates Intensive Cadilac
  • STOTT Pilates Intensive Chair

STOTT Pilates Intensive Matt Plus

The Intensive Mat-Plus course will provide you with the skills to design and teach essential and intermediate level matwork classes, integrating small equipment, which will allow you to add variety to your sessions.

STOTT Pilates Intensive Reformer

The Intensive Reformer course will prepare you to teach a broad range of exercises, variations and modifications performed on the Reformer, and how to combine Mat and Reformer based workouts for increased variety and intensity.


Have you completed both the Matwork and Reformer courses and want to add dynamic equipment work to your repertoire? Then you're ready to add variety to your teaching skills with the Cadillac, Chair and Barrels Courses. Once a singular course the Cadillac, Chair and Barrels Course has now been restructured into three separate modules to allow you to choose which element to take, and when.



STOTT Pilates Intensive Barrels

The Intensive Barrels course prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Stability Chair. By the end of the course you will be able to fine tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients' conditioning goals with 98 exercises on the Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Arc Barrel.

STOTT Pilates Intensive Cadilac

The Intensive Cadilac course prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Cadilac. By the end of the course you will be able to fine tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients' conditioning goals with 125 exercises on the Cadilac Trapeze Table.

STOTT Pilates Intensive Stability Chair

The Intensive Stability Chair Course prepares you to teach Level 1 (Essential and Intermediate) exercises on the Stability Chair. By the end of the course you will be able to fine tune personal and circuit training programs to meet a variety of clients' conditioning goals with 63 exercises on the Stability Chair.
