This course provides a comprehensive study of anatomy and physiology analysing all the systems of the body. The Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology provides the perfect foundation for most fitness, therapy and nutrition courses.

  • Module 1 Introduction and organisation of the body
  • Module 2 Metabolism
  • Module 3 The circulatory system
  • Module 4 The respiratory system
  • Module 5 The lymphatic system
  • Module 6 The immune system
  • Module 7 Nervous and endocrine systems
  • Module 8 The digestive system
  • Module 9 The liver
  • Module 10 The excretory system
  • Module 11 The skin
  • Module 12 The skeletal system
  • Module 13 The muscular system
  • Module 14 The reproductive system

Entry Requirements
A basic level of literacy and numeracy skills is required. Minimum age, 16.

Length and Format of Course
12 months (based on 10-12 hours study per week). Maximum time allowed is 2 years. Distance learning.

Assessment

  • Continuous coursework assessment with tutor feedback
  • One 90 minute theory exam to be held at your nearest Premier venue

Next Steps On successful completion of this course you may wish to progress to the Diploma in Nutritional Therapy. This qualification also allows you to progress smoothly in to fitness, for example Gym Instruction and Advanced Personal Training.
