This course is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of soft tissue injuries, with a video/DVD of joint assessments provided to bring descriptions to life. Very useful for Personal Trainers to recognise client injury symptoms early.

  • Module 1 The nature of injury
  • Module 2 Emergency first aid
  • Module 3 Patient assessment procedures
  • Module 4 Lower limb
  • Module 5 Knee
  • Module 6 Hip and thigh
  • Module 7 Shoulder
  • Module 8 Elbow and wrist
  • Module 9 Spine

Entry Requirements
A suitable background in health and fitness, including knowledge of exercise prescription and anatomy and physiology. Minimum age, 16.

Length and Format of Course
10 months (based on 10-12 hours study per week).Maximum time allowed is 2 years. Distance learning.

Assessment

  • Continuous coursework assessment with tutor feedback
  • One 90 minute theory exam to be held at your nearest Premier venue
