Josh Long is an experienced personal trainer who will motivate you with fun, challenging workouts whatever your goals.

What Can I Do For You?

If you are new to exercise, are experienced and want to change your program or are struggling to reach your health related goals I can help you out. As a personal trainer I can give you the right knowledge and advice on exercise and nutrition, push your training to a new intensity and help you achieve some real results. I train at a fully equipped facility, at the park or home, depending on location.

I have been a personal trainer since 2002 and in that time have trained people from all age ranges, abilities and backgrounds. Contact me for a free consultation to see how I can help you out.

I started training with Josh after I turned 48. Due to a heavy work schedule and unhealthy eating, my weight had escalated and I decided to take on a personal trainer for the first time after all the years of working out in the gym on my own. At the outset, my goals were to reduce my weight by about 18 to 20lbs, and to shrink my body fat by about 5%.

 

Training two to three times a week, Josh designed a program for me that included circuits and weight training – the exercises and combinations were constantly changing and challenging. He took into consideration a recurring low back injury that I had and structured exercises around that constraint, at the same time focusing on strengthening my core which had a tremendous impact on improving the strength and well-being of my back.

 

Josh augmented the training with sound and thorough nutritional advice. At his insistence, I began a food/ eating log. He also kept regular records of my measurements and tracked my progress.By the third month of working out with Josh, there were already visible signs of improvement and by the fifth month, the initial target goals were achieved. Losing 20lbs, I achieved my ideal BMI and the reduction of body fat from 20% to about 14% meant that my muscles now appeared more “cut”. More importantly, my fitness levels improved.Having achieved the initial goals, I preceded to embark on a new training regime with Josh to maintain my fitness level as well as to sculpt my upper body. At 49, I feel and look the best that I have ever been. Without any reservation, I can say that training with Josh was one of the best decisions that I have made.
