My life long passion of participating in team sports led me into a career in personal training when I qualifed as a trainer in 2012, after finishing a degree in coach education and sports development at University of Bath. Since then I have worked with clients with varying ages and needs, including rehabilition, weight loss and strength training.
Since completing the Resistance Training Specialist course in 2015, I have developed my interest in biomechanics and how the body works. I now specialise in posture improvement and injury prevention. This is important in this day in age when the majority population are sat in the same position throughout their working day, creating imbalances in muscles and posture. This leads to back, neck and hip pain, which normally can be alleviated by strengthening certain muscle groups.
My additional qualifications include Les Mills GRIT, gym based boxing, circuit training, Kettle bells and TRX. This enables me to train clients using a wide range of techniques, to make each session new, exciting and challenging.
I am also qualified in GP referral and pre and post natal. Therefore, if you have particular health needs, or are expecting/ given birth recently, I will be able to adapt a session specific to your goals.
Whether your goal is weight loss, rehabilitation or just to become more active, I will tailor each session to your needs. We will work together to develop a long term plan that works within your lifestyle, constraints and commitments, but is first and foremost enjoyable.
