    Experience :

Exercise can be used safely and effectively for the prevention and therapeutic benefit of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, obesity, depression and osteoporosis. Balance, functional mobility and strength can also be improved for walking confidence in the elderly or after a stroke or other neurological condition.

I have many years of experience working with all age groups including the elderly and specialist populations. As an exercise physiologist, I have taught at university level and researched in a clinical setting during my recently completed Ph.D (Improving the cardiovascular fitness of spinal cord injured individuals with electrically stimulated cycling. www.fesfit.com).

Exercise medicine offers individualised exercise training for anyone who wishes to improve their health, fitness strength or mobility. The emphasis is on safe, effective, fun exercise that fits in easily with daily life.
    Professional Reference

"We approached Helen 2 years ago for help in improving our strength and balance after having both lost our confidence after falls. I now (aged 91) walk without the aid of a frame or stick, and my wife (aged 79) walks the cobbles of Edinburgh with more confidence! We also now have a new puppy who keeps us very active every day" Smith, Kinross
