| Professional Reference Ian was the person who not only got me interested in running, but who helped me train and gave me the encouragement, and desire to run my first marathon. When we decided that I was going to do this, we set ourselves a target of 10 months to get me from the stage of being fairly unfit, to being able to run a marathon. As it turned out, I was ready in 4 months, and ran my first full marathon in 4 Hours and 30 minutes. (And Ian did it with me!) I couldn't have done it without him, he was my mentor, my friend, and my trainer. He taught me how to exercise properly, how to eat properly, and how to have the right frame of mind to do the job. Ian was there when I had my bad times during training, and gave me the encouragement to get through them and gave me the will to succeed. I feel that I have gained not only a fitter body and lifestyle, but a more positive mental attitude, and the belief that "I can do it " I am still running today, have completed numerous half marathons, and am now in training for my third marathon in London in 2003. I will be 43 years of age then, and although I will never be super fit, I thank Ian for giving me the knowledge and the will to lead a fitter, more healthy life, and to make me feel good about myself. I have no hesitation in recommending Ian as the right person to change and enhance your life. Alan M Deane | |||||||
