I aim to make the sessions fun as well as hard work and believe in actively participating in training sessions rather than just giving encouragement from the sidelines. As part of Body Active Personal Training, in addition to my own areas of expertise, I also have input from several other Body Active Personal Trainers available to me with a wealth of experience in areas such a sports massage, sports psychology. My previous training as a Registered General Nurse helps me to understand broader health issues and often enables me to explain them to clients. I also offer Self protection and defence classes. | |||||||
| Professional Reference I am a 66 year old male with a much neglected body, overweight and, I thought, short of any potential. After a short phone call followed by an interview with Gill, I quickly embarked on a 6 week course of personal training sessions. Gill quickly made me feel at home and comfortable in a strange enviornment, and in a gentle way pushed me into working harder than I have for years. I particularly like the way Gill works around any weaknesses in your body such as old knees. As the weeks have passed I have found myself to be totally enthused. Gill have given me endless encouragement and advice on how to workout, use goals and achieve them. She has also given me lots of advice on diet and although I still have a long way to go I have already lost weight, feel fitter and more focused and the whole experience as raised my self esteem. I have subsequently joined my local health club and continue to exercise regularly. | |||||||
