| Experience : I established PTCS (Personal Training and Conditioning Service) in 2003 to offer high quality training in South Cumbria and North Lancashire. Qualified through the YMCA and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, I am also a trainer of trainers through Northern Fitness and Education and an external verifier for Central YMCA Qualifications. I have a wide range of experience which includes work as a full-time senior lecturer at Sunderland University and York St John College. Additionally, I served as an RAF Physical Educational Instructional Officer, so am happy to offer the 'military-style' of PT desired by some clients. I have had a wide range of clients ranging from those that have wanted to 'tone up' to athletes wanting to complete triathlons as well as young men and women wishing to prepare for the uniformed services. With the experience and knowledge of PTCS behind you, the likelihood of success is that much greater. | |||||||
| Professional Reference We have been with Mark now for three years and can credit him with giving us our bodies back. Both of us are fitter and healthier individuals and this can be attributed to the training programme that Mark has devised for us. Mark is a very professional and goal-orientated trainer who knows his subject very well. For us this is, and always will be, a way of life. We would highly recommend anyone in the market for a personal trainer to engage this man. K. and N. Clokey. When you smoke 40 B&H a day, drink most nights, eat mainly take aways and do no exercise at all, becoming healthier seems like a dream from never-never land (or at least from 'I used to be able' land). I wanted to live more healthily, but with a lifestyle like mine, apart from stopping smoking, I truly did not know how or where to start. When Mark saw my lifestyle, he showed me that the ordeal I saw as a Himalayan wall was little more than an Alpine meadow. What's more, the programme that Mark devised made the route simple, clear, and, most of all, fun. It started with a light, enjoyable walking programme and progressed to light jogging and cycling. Feeling much fitter and healthier, I told him I wanted to do a triathlon to celebrate. He was utterly supportive and devised a training programme to achieve my aim. So, who would have thought that just 8 months after starting, I would have completed my first event. A. Buckle | |||||||
