As a competitive athlete I also love to help people who are preparing for and active holiday such as skiing, surfing and climbing or training for a particular event from first 5k race, to competing in an endurance event such as a marathon or Ironman triathlon. I provide one-to-one personal training and sports massage to people in Potters Bar and the surrounding areas, as well as throughout London, Hertfordshire & Essex. As a mobile company I can come to you so you can enjoy exercising in the comfort of your own home, at your local park or at the office, freeing up more time for you to enjoy the finer things in life. | Professional Reference Getting up in the morning is no longer a chore... I started training with Jo 2 years ago to get my fitness levels up to run a 10km race for charity, as well as improve my overall tone for my wedding. Jo's a great motivator, and I really look forward to the sessions, mainly because of the variety she offers. In addition to the usual running intervals and jogging in the park, she has also taught me boxing (so good for the arms), skipping, resistance training and fartlek. I have also benefited from sports massage, which has helped me to relax and prevent any potential injuries. Jo is particularly good at getting me to challenge myself, as otherwise I'm rather lazy and will stick to what I know. She is direct and honest in her feedback, so I always know how well I am doing and what areas I need to focus on to improve. Following a serious skiing injury I contacted Jo for advice and to help with my rehabilitation. In addition, I wanted to lose some of the weight I'd put on after 3 months of inactivity. Jo analyzed what I was eating & suggested an exercise and nutrition programme. This included swimming and took into account that I still had to be extremely careful with my shoulder. As I slowly increased the use of my arm, my shoulder mobility increased and the pain began to subside. I am slowly regaining full use of my shoulder and also feeling much better for it. Without Jo's help I would still be months away from full fitness, but thanks to her advice, support and direction I will hopefully be playing golf again soon & skiing next year. After moving to London and having a 2 year break from exercise, plus too many take away meals, I was finding it very difficult to get back into a healthy routine. I asked Jo to help me refocus and she has done a wonderful job. For my first training session, we went to the gym where she proceeded to make me a programme. Jo suggested we make my first programme fairly basic, and started me slowly so that my body could get used to exercising again. I have really enjoyed the programme and progressed so much since that first session. Jo has been such a good motivator. She has also encouraged me to eat well again by making me a food plan.
