Entry Requirements
No prior qualifications are required for this course. However, a reasonable level of fitness is required as physical participation is essential. Experience within a gym environment is recommended though not necessary. Reading, writing and numeracy skills are required as students will be expected to actively present work to the group and provide written work as part of the ongoing assessment process. If you already hold an Exercise to Music qualification you can join week 2 to gain the Diploma in Studio Instruction. Minimum age, 16.
Length and Format of Course
1 week online learning with theory exam and 10 days face to face attendance, plus 1 day final exam
Assessment
- Portfolio of evidence to include risk assessment, safety planning document, ParQ screening, worksheet, session plan for an exercise to music session, session evaluation, direct observation of candidateinstructing an exercise to music session
- Multiple choice theory paper
- Formative assessment of Premier Training International modules (step, combat, spin and cycle)
Next Steps
Six months after completing the course, students may apply to attend the Premier Training International Level 3 Certificate in Advanced Instructing (Exercise to Music). |
