What Can I Do For You?

NMarine Fitness, led by Former Royal Marine Neil Mehrtens, offers individual personal training experiences to people serious about improving their health and bodies. Whether you’re preparing for a marathon, want to make a body transformation with our proven ‘Get Lean Like A Marine’ programme or just looking to shape up for your wedding day, NMarine Fitness will guide you all the way through.

Following five years as a Personal Trainer, I spent ten years in HM Royal Marines. An injury sustained in Afghanistan led to my eventual medical discharge and extensive physical rehab, an experience which inspired me to start my own Personal Training and Sports Massage business.

My goal is to motivate you to achieve a sustainable new lifestyle of exercise underpinned by a healthy diet, so that eventually you will not need my help and can continue progressing on your own. Too often I see people focusing solely on physical training. Health and fitness is not only about exercise, I can offer you some great advice to make you not only physically stronger but mentally stronger, with proper nutrition, diet and lifestyle advice. The workouts are always fun, balanced and focus on correct form.

"I was always extremely sceptical about personal trainers. I regarded myself as pretty active, reasonably healthy and knew what I should and shouldn't eat (though I didn't necessarily follow the advice). My wife bought me a block of 10 for my birthday. Wow - best present ever. Neil took time to understand what I wanted/expected from the sessions. He is extremely personable and not the archetypal "gym bunny". I really enjoy the training sessions - the fact that they take place outside rather than in a smelly gym is a bonus. I've continued with the sessions (after my block of 10 ran out) and can't see me stopping. Neil really helped me focus my training for a cycle event in September - legs and core. Now I'm just looking to get through winter (and Christmas pies) but he's adapted training accordingly. Love it and couldn't recommend it more."

I have had various personal trainers in past on various shorted winded fitness whims but Neil is of a totally different calibre. He is understanding and patient with an impressive in depth knowledge of nutrition and training. He is reliable and hugely innovative and intelligent in his training sessions which are always different so even though I still dread them (am very unmotivated wobbly mum with all matter of excuses) I always end up enjoying them. Neil has helped me re-evaluate my diet and attitude to fitness/lifestyle and is very encouraging and respectful. He is talented with great emotional intelligence and understanding of his different clients and what programme or motivation is suited specifically for them. This sets him apart from previous trainers I have worked with. If I can do it anyone can. If you want results hire Neil!
