    Experience :

I have been working in the fitness industry for ten years, beginning my career teaching classes in local gyms and then working on board cruise ships as a class instructor/personal trainer.

Over these ten years, I have seen a dramatic shift in the way we train our bodies. Instead of sweating it out and pushing it to the limits, exercise is becoming more mindful. You can get the same intensity of workout, along with superior results, just by being a bit more thoughtful about the process.

This doesn’t mean you won’t work hard, because you most definitely WILL – but you will reap the rewards because of it. A fit, strong, toned body without any aches and pains, effortless movement and calmness of mind.

I have worked with a large number of clients using my own unique training methods that can be adapted to cater for the fitness fanatic as well as for people with pain or injury. I have some very athletic clients who take part in competitive events, but also take referrals from the Back Clinic at the Royal London Hospital.

I believe that training should be as varied as possible; you need to mix it up to keep it interesting as well as challenging. I have therefore studied many different techniques and incorporate whatever I feel makes sense for each particular client; I also have a keen interest in running…but I promise I won’t make you run if you don’t want to!

I co-founded TR balance Ltd in 2003, an Exercise and Movement Therapy company dedicated to bringing you safe, effective training with great results. If you’ve been complaining about a flabby tummy, a niggling pain or asking, “does my bum look big in this?”, do something about it and give me a call. I’ll book you in for a FREE consultation to discuss your specific needs and plan the way forward.

Don’t just think about it – do it! I look forward to hearing from you...

P.S. I am based in South East London and cover Central London and Docklands also.

I've been working with Anna for over a year now and have experienced a total change in my posture. I feel more upright, more toned and much stronger. The training she gives me is very diverse so I don't get bored and I learn more about my body and movement as I continue to work with her. (Deborah, Docklands)

I have degenerative disc disease and limited mobility. Anna has worked closely with me for 10 months to develop exercise routines to increase my core stability and to mobilise and strengthen muscles which have been dormant for some time. As a result I feel much stronger and have become very aware of posture for the first time. Anna treats me holistically by ensuring she knows about my day to day life and monitors my levels of pain closely, changing exercises accordingly, she also offers help with pain management by giving me relaxation exercises. Anna is very sympathetic to clients in pain and gentle in her approach, important for chronic pain sufferers who often feel vulnerable. Regular contact with Anna is very important to me, her input helps me to remain positive and focused, I feel she genuinely invests in my progress. Most importantly exercising gives me the sense that I am helping myself, that my recovery is in my own hands. (Clare, Docklands)

I have been doing pilates now for some months and i can honestly say that whereas at the beginning i was a little skeptical, now i have no doubts as to the benefits, for me being a bit of a jogger i do appreciate the improvement in my posture, running style and dare i say less injuries, pilates concentrates on 'core training', improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility, it conditions the whole body and i thoroughly recommend it. (Steve, Forest Hill)
