NRPT promotional deals

The NRPT promotion deals - what are they? One of the first questions that every personal trainer ask us is why we charge for our membership.

It's our role to help you get clients by promoting ourselves to the right people, in the right place at the right time. This now covers the web, exhibitions, newspapers and more. We want you to know how we promote ourselves so we thought we would break down what we get upto into online and offline.

Before we give you an insight into what's going on, we wanted to point out that in addition to Parallel Promotions, we have recently appointed a new Promotions agency, The Leapfrog Group Ltd (formerly MKM Concepts), to handle potential deals going forward. Promotions will be on a more regular and focussed basis (Leapfrog) specialise in the Travel, leisure and Lifestyle industry) and typically will be based on a free consultation and session at your normal rate. We will still be working with Parallel Promotions, this is to enhance our already strong promotional position. We believe this will bring you more qualified leads as a trainer, and you can only get this through the NRPT.

Online

The Internet is an incredibly powerful medium if it used correctly. We have 12 years combined experience at making it work and are driving the NRPT through a number of ways:

Web positioning

If you're not at the top of the search engines (yahoo.co.uk, google.co.uk, msn.co.uk and lycos.co.uk) then it's unlikely that punters will find you. Through our years of trading and internet presence the NRPT now appears in the No.1 position on the majority of the major search engines, without having to pay for "sponsored" positions. But we also maximise our presence on other health & Fitness portals to ensure we get the most from our coverage in the right areas of the industry, so read on.....

Alliances / co-branding

The quickest way to increase brand awareness and relevant traffic. Basically, the NRPT search is placed in a host site (like handbag.com or ivillage.co.uk) and then when the host site promotes during peak periods, everyone is using the NRPT search. We have direct experience of this type of marketing and have already signed 4 parties that have a combined user base of 3 million plus per month.

The other factor that alliances and co-branding bring to the party is brand awareness. Vital for feeding offline promotions and press coverage.

Provision of information

The web is the perfect medium for information and accurate up-to-date information! As far as we know the NRPT site is the only personal trainer website in the world that provides simple information about qualifications, training companies and advice to help you decide whether it's right for you. It's straight-forward and the beauty is... we can update when ever we need to.

Offline

The more traditional forms of advertising and marketing are far from dead and so we believe that by combining both online and offline they can, to a large extent, feed off each other.

Newspapers / magazines

We employ an experienced consultant to help us with getting our column inches. Already this year we have featured in a number of high profile press articles and continue to feature (without even requesting it...!!)in many of the current health & fitness journals. By targeting relevant and large circulation press, the NRPT appears in articles almost every month, somewhere in the UK.

Exhibitions

There are a number of dedicated health & leisure exhibitions and we believe our presence can make a difference. With the need for personal trainers growing daily, everyone has to find a trainer from somewhere and we want them to use us. From LIW (Europe's largest trade show - to build our network) to the smaller fitness exhibitions, we select carefully and maximise our opportunities.

Leaflets

Sounds old hat, but in the right place at the right time, people do pick up and read leaflets if they are designed correctly. As part of our longer term strategy we are investigating postcards in cinemas, restaurants and bars through a specialised media company.
