| Professional Reference "I've been working out regularly for some time now but focussed mainly on using machine weights with the odd free weights exercise thrown in. Phil has managed to completely convert me to free weight training though and after our first few workouts I ached so much I wondered if I'd ever worked out properly before!" TONY SHEPHERD - Capital Radio DJ and television broadcaster "I had been working out for a number of years without really seeing much in the way of results. When I started working out with Phil, all of that changed. Phil made me conscious of my diet and helped me to modify it to target my specific goals. Furthermore, by changing the way I weight trained Phil helped me to gain muscle mass I never thought possible." ADAM HEMPENSTALL - Internationally renowned nightclub DJ and radio personality "I compete in DanceSport championships and feel that it is crucial for my body to be in top condition all the time. I religiously go to the gym for workouts however, once starting training sessions with Phil I noticed a big difference. He focused on needs specifically for my dancing, such as core stability, lower leg conditioning and cardio, and these all benefited my dancing greatly. I used muscles I never even knew I had. Thanks Phil, I'm totally conditioned now!" Annalisa Zoanetti (AUS) - IDSF (International DanceSport Federation) Global Tour dancer. Ranked 39 in the world. "Clearly, for my work, it is vital that I stay in excellent physical condition. Philip has helped me to better understand how to maintain a strong, toned appearance without gaining muscle mass and how to maintain a low bodyfat percentage." PETRA CHLUPACOVA - Fashion model (Giorgio Armani) "Having moved to the United Kingdom from Mauritius it has been difficult to prepare effectively for the upcoming major games due to not having my usual support network around me. Philip has filled a major part of that void by allowing me to continue my strength and power training and has even helped me to take it to new levels." Jessen Dalaya - Mauritian no.1 high-jumper and long-jumper, and Olympic contender. "Having injured my back badly a number of years ago, everyday task such as climbing stairs and walking on a cobbled street filled me with terror and sometimes ended up with me in an ambulance. I had months and months of physiotherapy and worked with other trainers however it was only when I began working with Phil that things really started to improve. Phil took a much more aggressive and challenging approach to my rehab, working on my core strength and stabilisation. After about five months I was signed off by my physiotherapist and I am now able to live life without fear. Thanks Phil." PAMELA BLUNDELL - Owner/director of international consultancy company "The physical demands of playing international rugby place a great deal of strain upon my body. It is vital to my career that I both enter games in full fitness, feeling the effects of any strain, knock or injury as little as possible, and recover rapidly following matches. The sports massage services Phil Nourse provides me with help dramatically in both of these areas. I recently, for example, played in a European Championship tournament in France and Phil ensured I was as healthy and physically prepared as possible in the lead up to this peak of my season." Axel Wilhelmsen - Norwegian international rugby union player. "Our sport is becoming increasingly physical and in order to move to maintain our current global position and even move to the next level, we are always looking for an edge. Having seen Phil in action we decided to work with him on our conditioning as I am not aware of another global tour dancer that has a dedicated conditioning coach. Phil has worked specifically with us on our upright core stability, ankle strength and stability, prevention of 'sickling,' inner thigh strength etc. It has had a great impact on my physical condition personally and it is great to know that if we place lower than we would like it will be due to our dancing ability and not our physical preparation." Joshua Keefe - (AUS) - IDSF (International DanceSport Federation) Global Tour dancer. Ranked 39 in the world. "With one of the biggest Dancesport competitions in the World approaching (Blackpool Dance Festival), Phil has helped me greatly. He worked with me extensively to develop his own understanding of the demands of my sport/art and through this has help me to further understand what my body needs. I am in good condition to approach this competition following the extensive training of core stability, cardio work, lower leg strength and stability. Overall I feel my body is conditioned and prepared for this major competition." Nathan Meyers - (AUS), IDSF (International DanceSport Federation) Global Tour dancer. Ranked 42 in the world. | |||||||
